LTC North East continues to champion inclusive aquatics

Latest News

Driven to deliver high-quality, fairly priced training and consultancy in aquatics and beyond, LTC North East is removing barriers to learning and qualifications for local authorities, schools, sports clubs, and the security and justice sectors.

With deep roots in the leisure industry and a strong foundation as an RLSS-approved training centre since 2008, becoming a Swim England Qualifications (SEQ) Approved Training Centre (ATC) was a natural evolution for the Durham-based provider. It’s experienced trainers and assessors have been delivering Level 1 and Level 2 courses across the North East, Yorkshire, and Cumbria since 2019 – fully embracing Swim England’s “Great experiences. For all. For life” vision through strong social impact and supporting underrepresented communities.

“We’re ambitious about delivering high-quality training and consultancy at a fair price, to make sure everyone has the opportunity to learn how to teach vital life and safety skills,” explains Graeme Morgan, LTC North East’s Managing Director.

“That ambition, our focus on quality and continuous improvement, and the hard work of our trainers and assessors, has had a positive impact across the aquatic landscape. From supporting single-site operators and pools at risk of closure – and, in some instances, helping them reopen – to supporting disabled learners through SEQ qualifications,” Graeme continues.

Learners also benefit from accessible venues, tailored support, expert tutors, while the growing provider looks to remove travel costs as a barrier to learning, choosing venues that have free parking and are accessible by public transport wherever possible.

In addition to the Swim England Qualifications, LTC North East also delivers RLSS NPLQ, NRASTC, first aid and management courses, STA Pool Plant, and criminal justice-aligned training. With varied backgrounds in emergency services, legal proceedings, and leisure management, LTC North East’s trainers offer unique experiences that help offer an enhanced level of learning.

The centre is also proud to support the Armed Forces Covenant, helping service personnel and their families gain qualifications that lead to employment.

LTC North East has additional SEQ courses scheduled at Gateshead Leisure Centre, with new dates for Bradford and Cumbria yet to be announced.
